Jordan River - The original baptismal site

Focusing on the Christian heritage we will venture to the most beautiful and historically important Christian sites.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport.

Transfer to the hotel in Tel Aviv, Check into the hotel.

Overnight: Tel Aviv

Day 2: Caesarea - Haifa-Acre

Breakfast at the hotel and Check out.

Depart north along the coast plain, to the ancient city of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great in honor of Augustus Caesar and the home of the first gentile believer, Cornelius and of Philip the evangelist; Visit the theatre, aqueducts and Hippodrome and many more treasures from the past…

Continue north to Haifa. View the Baha'i Gardens, The holiest site of the Baha'i religion, located on Mount Carmel in Haifa while standing atop Mount Carmel.

Visit Acre (Akko), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, from the days of the Crusades through contemporary Israel, Visit renovated Crusaders' City. The Ottoman Fortifications around the city.

Overnight: Galilee

Day 3: Tiberias-Capernaum - Golan Heights

Breakfast at the hotel.

Drive through Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.

We can start or end the day with a Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee.

Visit the Christian Holy Sites around the Sea of Galilee, including: Capernaum, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, the site of Jesus' teachings and the remains of his synagogue. Tabgha, traditional site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes, Mount of Beatitudes, traditional site of the ‘Sermon on the Mount', overlooking a spectacular view of the Sea of Galilee.

Lunch on own, en route. Best option is a St Peter fish in a nearby Restaurant.

Continue to Katzrin the Capitol of the Golan Heights and some more sites on the Golan (as time permits)

Overnight: Galilee

Day 4: Nazareth-Beit Shean – Jerusalem

Breakfast and Check out of the hotel. Stop at "Yardenit" the baptismal site on the Jordan River.

Drive to Nazareth and visit the Church of the Annunciation, St Josef's Carpentry Shop and Mt. Precipice.

A short stop for a Falafel, Lunch on your own, en route.

Visit the Beit Shean National Park, Israel's largest archaeological sites with its biblical period archaeological mound and on-going excavations exposing the vast Roman-Byzantine City Continue south along the Jordan Rift Valley.

Ascend to Jerusalem through the Judean Desert.

Stop on Top of Mt. Scopus, for a Welcome to Jerusalem Overlook over the city:

Day 5: Jerusalem - Old City

Breakfast at the hotel.

Start the day with a drive to the beautiful Mt. of Olives to a breath-taking panorama of the Holy City.

Descend to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed prior to his arrest and crucifixion. Continue to Mt. Zion and Visit the Upper Room where Jesus spent his last hours with his disciples for what is known to be " the last supper"; it was also here that the Holy Spirit came on the Day of Pentecost. Descend down under the upper room to the Tomb of King David.

Our tour will take us through the Old City of Jerusalem, including sites that are holy to Jews, Moslems and Christians: the Western Wall, look over to the Temple Mount and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. For Evangelist and protestant groups we'll include a Visit the Garden Tomb, traditional Protestant site of Calvary.

Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 6: New City - Bethlehem

Breakfast at the hotel.

Start the day with a visit to "Yad Vashem", the Jewish National Memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust, including: The Avenue of the Righteous, The new Historical Museum.

If time permits we'll visit Ein-Kerem, the Birth place of John the Baptist.

Continue to the Israel Museum, one of largest (1/2 Million artifact's) museums in the world to visit the Second Temple Model of Jerusalem and the "Shrine of the Book" where they keep the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Lunch on own, en route.

We'll end the day with a Visit the city of Bethlehem, site of the birth of Jesus and the Church of the Nativity. Return to Jerusalem.

Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 7: Dead Sea - Masada

Breakfast at the hotel.

Descend from Jerusalem towards the lowest place on earth the "Dead Sea".

Visit Qumran and explore the area where the Dead Sea Sect (essences) established a community, see the location where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Continue to "Masada" and ascend this wilderness mountain fortress in a cable car; walk through the remains of the palace, water cisterns and fortifications built by King Herod, and hear about the Zealots who lived here until their bitter end. In the beautiful new complex of Masada you can have a very nice Lunch on your own and also a chance to perches some souvenirs and mostly try Israel's best cosmetics product's in the AHAVA company store. On the way back to Jerusalem we'll stop by one of the beaches and Experience the weightlessness of the Dead Sea as you float in its waters.

Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 8: Return

Return back home.
